WE HIRED A LOT OF PEOPLE IN 2025
HAVE YOU HEARD?
As we bring in the new year, we are reflecting on bigger and better ways to support our families! In addition to treating her kids, Ms. Kara (Winchester OT) has taken on a new role as Patient Advocate! Kara is working hard to put together resources our families may need including access to basics like food, diapers, and financial assistance as well as resources for sensory friendly activities in the community. If you’d like some help finding a specific resource, feel free to email her at hornung.kara@bluegrasspediatric.com.

Therapy spotlight
Richmond therapist, Mrs. Emily just completed a course in Pelvic Floor Therapy! Do you have concerns with bowel and bladder difficulties with your child? Constipation and Enuresis (involuntary urination) can impact both yours and your child’s life. Pelvic floor therapy can help both you and your child feel more comfortable. The structure of a child’s pelvic floor muscles are vastly different from an adult’s, which can cause more impact on their bowel/bladder movements. Your child’s diet and exercise routine can play a major role in how their system works. We can help with bowel/bladder journals, sensory routines, exercise programs, and more!

Community spotlight
Caroline’s Corner provides therapy based toys for families to help kids master their skills at home. It was created by a local woman named Emily (Caroline’s mom) as a way to provide support for families going through the therapy process. Caroline was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy in October 2023. While taking her to her therapy appointments, Emily saw how important it is that therapy does not stop when you leave the clinic. She wanted to provide families with a way to do just that! Caroline’s corner now provides toys that are free to take to work on those goals while at home! Ask a member of our staff if you are interested in receiving a therapy based toy provided by Caroline’s Corner!
